Plasma is a reactive gas which consists of free, high-energy electrons, ions and neutral particles. Plasma (Greek: the malleable) is defined as the fourth state of aggregation (after solid, liquid and gaseous).
By supplying energy, gas is ionized – plasma is generated! In a plasma, atoms or molecules, ions and electrons move freely and interact with each other. This allows refining the surface of materials in many ways. It is possible to create absolutely new surface characteristics as well as redesign existing technologies more rationally and ecologically-friendly.
Plasma cleaning involves the removal of impurities and contaminants from surfaces
