Plasma is lablled as the fourth state of aggregation of material. If a solid material is heated, it typically changes into liquid state of aggregation firstly and then into the gaseous state of aggregation. If one supplies more energy to the gas, then it becomes electrically conductive although it remains more or less neutral outwardly.
This is due to the fact that electrons are separated from the atoms or molecules of the gases. Surfaces can be modified with these activated gas particles.
The surface of the most diverse materials can be activated, cleaned or coated by means of the low-pressure plasma technology. The plasma process can be adjusted to the respective application, the effect and materials flexibly.
The plasma treatment is applicable to all substrate materials. Even complicated geometric configurations can be plasma activated, plasma cleaned and plasma coated without problems. The thermal and mechanical load during the plasma treatment is very low. Thus, even sensitive materials can be treated with low-pressure plasma.
The enormous adaptability of this technology and of its plants engineering enables a modification of the substrate as bulk material, as a sheet material or also individually with plasma.
Classical applications:
- cleaning, activation and coating of surfaces
- prior to varnishing of plastics or elastomers
- prior to adhesive bonding of adhesives and metals
- prior to bonding of electronic components
This technology induces an optimal fundament of post-treatment to your surfaces as well as an appreciation of aour products due the top criteria of quality.
Plasma is used in the following application areas:
- Automotive
- Electronics
- Elastomer technology
- Medical technology
- Microsystem technology
- Plastics technology
- Precision mechanics
- Semiconductor technology
- Textile technology
